SSL Certificates Protect your users' data online

The green lock in the browser bar and the 'S' in 'HTTPS' mean a site is secure in every language. Have both on your site to show your visitors you care that their data is safe.

Industry Update: SSL Certificate Validity Changes

Starting March 15, 2026, SSL certificate maximum validity will be reduced to 200 days (from current 398 days). Domain validation data reuse period will also be reduced to 200 days. This is part of the CA/Browser Forum's initiative to enhance security through more frequent certificate renewals.Learn more in our FAQ

Why SSL?

CONFIDENTIALITY — AUTHENTICATION — INTEGRITY

Stronger Brand Identity

When transactions are involved nothing scares a customer more than the idea that they are not safe. SSL is the simple, bullet-proof solution.

Protect Sensitive Information

SSL Certificates protect your customers' sensitive information by encrypting the data they send to you, then decrypting it once you've received it.

High SEO Ranking

Google officially announced that SSL security is one of the major SEO ranking factors. Integrating SSL/TLS is the straightest way to boosting your ranking!

Frequently Asked Questions

An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a website and encrypts data sent between the website and the user's browser.
A wildcard SSL certificate is a special type of SSL certificate that secures your main domain and all its first-level subdomains with a single certificate.

For example, if you have domain.com, a wildcard certificate will secure *.domain.com, covering subdomains like blog.domain.com, shop.domain.com, etc. This is more cost-effective than buying individual certificates when you need to secure multiple subdomains.
A multi-domain SSL certificate (also known as SAN or UCC certificate) allows you to secure multiple different domain names with a single certificate.

For example, you can secure domain1.com, domain2.com, and domain3.com all under one certificate. This is more cost-effective than purchasing individual certificates, but unlike wildcard certificates, it doesn't automatically cover subdomains - each subdomain would need to be explicitly added as a domain name.
Domain Validation (DV) SSL: Only verifies domain ownership through email or DNS verification - it's quick (issued within minutes) and suitable for personal websites and blogs.

Organization Validation (OV) SSL: Verifies both domain ownership and your organization's legal existence through official business documents - taking 3-5 business days, it's ideal for business websites.

Extended Validation (EV) SSL: Provides the highest level of validation with rigorous vetting of your organization's legal, physical, and operational existence - taking 10-15 business days, it displays your company name in the browser address bar and is best for e-commerce, banking, and high-trust websites.

The validation level increases from DV to OV to EV, along with customer trust and assurance.
To obtain an OV SSL certificate, you'll need to provide:
1. Proof of business registration: Such as a business license, articles of incorporation, or certificate of registration from the relevant government authority.
2. Phone verification: A working phone number listed in official business directories or your registration documents for callback verification.
3. Domain ownership verification: Proof that you own or control the domain.
4. Authorization letter: If the requester is not the business owner, a letter authorizing the person to request the certificate on behalf of the organization.
The Certificate Authority will verify this information through public databases and direct contact with your organization, which typically takes 3-5 business days.
You can install the SSL certificate yourself if you have the technical expertise. However, if you need assistance, we provide professional installation services for an additional fee based on your server configuration and setup complexity. We'll provide a clear quote after assessing your specific requirements.
Yes, you can pay for up to 3 years upfront. However, SSL certificates can only be issued for 1 year at a time due to industry standards.

This means if you pay for 3 years, you won't be charged again during those 3 years - you'll just need to contact us each year to get your new certificate issued for the next year.
We do not offer a free trial for SSL certificates. Due to the nature of SSL certificates and their immediate activation upon issuance, we are unable to offer refunds once a certificate has been issued.
Starting March 15, 2026, the CA/Browser Forum is implementing significant changes to SSL/TLS certificate validity periods and validation data reuse:

Certificate Validity Periods:
• March 15, 2026: Maximum 200 days (~6.5 months)
• March 15, 2027: Maximum 100 days (~3 months)
• March 15, 2029: Maximum 47 days (1.5 months)

Domain Validation Reuse:
• March 15, 2026: 200 days (down from 398 days)
• March 15, 2027: 100 days
• March 15, 2029: 10 days

What this means for you: You'll need to renew certificates more frequently, but you can still purchase multi-year coverage and simply reissue certificates as needed. We recommend implementing automation to manage these shorter renewal cycles efficiently.
